Eurocom Clevo D900F Notebook with Intel Core i7

The Eurocom Clevo will release new high-end laptop and expected to launch early May this year, namely Clevo D900F Phantom i7 notebook PC powered by Intel’s i7 processor. The 17″ 1920×1200 LCD Clevo D900F notebook measures in at 397 x 298 x 51mm, weighs at 5.4 kg (11.9 lbs). It is based on the X58 chipset and is specifically being touted as being made available with three choices of Intel i7 CPU (specifically 2.66GHz, 2.93GHz and 3.2GHz) with a minimum of 2GB and a maximum of 8GB of DDR3 RAM.

Lenovo introduce a new ThinkPad laptop that features 2 LCD screens, ThinkPad W700DS that suitable for photographers, graphic artists, application developers, stock market analyst and other professional user. The ThinkPad W700ds appears to be the first laptop ever that has two LCD screens, a 17-inch CCFL-backlit display with 1920x1200 pixel resolution and a smaller 10.6-inch LED-backlit panel with 768x1280 resolution.

Clevo M98 Quad-Core HD Notebook for Gamers

Clevo, Taiwanese notebook manufacturer which most known for their powerful notebook computers will release Clevo M98 NU to replace Clevo's latest version D901C. Clevo M98 NU powered by Intel’s Core 2 quad-core processors.

The Dell Inspiron 1545 equipped with 15.6-inch screen with WXGA resolution along with 1.3-megapixel webcam. System options will include a Core 2 Duo processor running at up to 2.53GHz and memory configurations as high as 4GB. Dell also give options if you will build the system with specs down to a 2GHz Celeron and 1GB of memory. The one big detractor from the system is its reliance on an Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics chipset instead of an ATI or Nvidia offering.

The Inspiron 1545 specs include Blu-ray drive, 8-in-1 media card reader, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. It also has triple USB 2.0 ports, ethernet port and VGA output. This 6-pounds laptop has 6-cell battery and Microsoft Windows Vista or Linux as Operating System. Unfortunately there is no word about avaibility or pricing about this product.

Simmtronics Netbook Intel Atom Launch Next Week

Simmtronics Semiconductors Ltd, an India manufacturer of memory modules, motherboards and graphics cards has ventured into the netbook segment with the announcement of the company's first Netbook.

The Simmtronics netbook comes with a 10.2 inch screen, include an Intel Atom N270 at 1.6 GHz core speed with 533 MHz AGTL+ front-side bus (FSB) and 2.5 watts thermal design power2 (TDP), Intel SpeedStep technology as energy saving feature, enhanced low-power sleep states (C1E, C2E, C4E), design structure with L2 cache sizing for energy conservation by reduced electrical leakage in transistors. It has ability to stream video/music, access e-mails, internet browsing and instant messaging everywhere.

Vinit Shangle, National Sales Manager, Simmtronics Semiconductors, said: "We have kept our distribution and marketing plans at a low-profile owing to ongoing economic slowdown and increasing numbers of delayed payments and defaulter cases. At present, we do not wish to invest in branding and marketing promotions. Nevertheless, whenever market corrects, we will launch full-fledged range of Netbooks, in partnership with Intel. We expect to sell 400 units of Netbooks by end of December. The rationale behind our entry in Netbook is to get prepared for growing bandwidth and Wi-Max opportunities in India. Amtek has revealed specs on its new UMPC or Tablet PC, Amtek T10L Touch. T10L equipped with a 10.2-inch XGA1024x600 touchscreen which is larger than your standard UMPC, and you can gets 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor with a 512MB RAM and space for expanded maximum of 2GB DDR2-667 and also an 80GB hard drive is the sole storage option, WiFi b/g and Intel’s 945GSE chipset with onboard sound and video.

Ports include three USB 2.0 ports, one PC card slot, one D-Sub VGA out, one 10/100 ethernet and audio in/out; there’s also an integrated dual-mic array, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a pair of stereo speakers and a Windows XP operating system come to complete the list of specs for this slate form-factor tablet PC. BenQ Joybook Lite U101 netbook with 16:9 widescreen HSUPA

BenQ Joybook Lite U101 is the first to offer a 16:9 true aspect ratio on a netbook, might not seem that different to every other model already out there. It offers 10.1 inch display a native resolution of 1,024x576, the rest of the specs are fairly standard for netbooks these days, an Atom N270 CPU, Intel 945GSE chipset, 1GB of DDR2 memory for Windows version, a 160GB hard disk drive or up to 16GB SSD,

BenQ Joybook Lite U101 features include Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, 10/100Mbit Ethernet, 1.3 Megapixel webcam, built-in 802.11b/g WiFi, 4-in-1 memory card reader, D-sub connector, three USB 2.0 ports and headphone and mic jack, as well as a 3-cell battery that BenQ claims will give you 4 hour of battery life. An extended 6-cell battery will also be available as a cost option. Over all its a pretty good netbook with nice design and decent specification.

Still no word on pricing, however I hope it will be launch when available outside of Hong Kong.

Acer Aspire One 10-inch coming Q1 2009

Scott Lin, Acer Taiwan president said, "Acer will launch a 10-inch version of the Aspire One netbook in February or March 2009". Lin don't give more information on specifications for the larger Aspire, it will presumably offer the same Intel Atom processor as the existing model, only in a larger package and with a bigger display, adding perhaps some more RAM and a larger battery. No matter what, a 10-inch screen will provide a welcome break from all that scrolling.

As for Gateway, that brand will be used for a 13.3-inch notebook and all-in-one PCs, potentially as rivals to the ASUS Eee Top and MSI Neton. Acer have previously stated their intention to take half the netbook market in 2009.

Hopefully, we will begin to see some other features in this model, such as the inclusion of 3G support on models released here in the US, but it looks like we are going to have to wait a bit longer to get that information because no pricing or information yet.

MSI Wind U120 10" Netbook Launched

MSI Wind U120 netbook computer is a new netbook from MSI, featuring 10" display and Intel Atom N270 at 1.6GHz processor. MSI Wind U120 will be release on December 2008.

MSI Wind U120 which have 2.2-pound weight include 1GB 1GB of RAM, up to 160GB of hard drive space, a 1.3- or 2-megapixel web camera and a 6-cell battery, as well as Windows XP Home operating system. The display has a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. MSI Wind U120 also providing connectivity Intel WiMAX Technology or 3.5G HSDPA mobile broadband connectivity, three USB port, VGA output, stereo speakers and a 4-in-1 card reader makes using your external devices easier.

The price of MSI Wind U210 approximately less than $600, but U120 is still very similar to the U100. It doesn't appear to be significantly thinner, it just features a bit more serious, sharp edged design.
