Kogan Agora Phone With Google Android OS
Kogan Technologies, a wholly-owned Australian company established in 2006, released the first mobile phone Kogan Agora Pro powered by Google Android OS featuring full QWERTY keyboard, navigation key, 2.5 inch touch screen phone, microSD slot, GPS, WiFi and 3G connectivity.
Kogan Agora Pro come with additional features 624MHz processor with 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM. There’s a 2-megapixel camera, and the handset is triband UMTS/HSDPA (850/900/2100MHz) and quadband GSM/EDGE. The Agora measures 108 x 64 x 14.8 mm and weighs 130g with its 1,300mAh battery; according to Kogan, that’s good for up to 400 minutes talktime or 300 hours standby.
Using the Android operating system, users can search the Web, customize their homepages, view images or videos over their email, and make use of access to several Google services including GoogleTalk, Google Calendar, and Google Maps. Don't forget, the phone is also equipped with a music player and Bluetooth 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) capabilities. The price for Kogan Agora (without GPS, WiFi) with price AU$299 (US$192) and Kogan Agora Pro (GPS, WiFi included) with price AU$399 ($256). I think with the best value price Agora will be hits the market and will be at international market end of January 2009.
